【Duchy of Swabia】 #13264020
Description
Established XVI/XII/MMXXI. The Duchy of Swabia was one of the most well known states of the Holy Roman Empire, until its dissolution in MCCCXII. It’s ruling dynasty would be the final continuous family to hold the title of Emperor within the High Middle Ages, until later dynasties like the House of Habsburg would take power. Swabia’s name comes from the Suebi, a Germanic Tribe originating from the regions of Bohemia that moved West to the Rhine. The Duchy of Swabia had began as a Stem Duchy under the Frankish Empire ruled by a Noble Family called the House of Ahalolfingin the year CMXV. Eventually, the descendants of Otto I would leave an individual named Rudolph of Rheinfelden with the title of Duke of Swabia, who would have the title stripped after a revolt then given to Fredrick I of the House of Hohenstaufen. Noble Family: House of Hohenstaufen, MLXXIX - MCCLXVIII. (Historical) Duke: ieonov8, XVI/XII/MMXXI - XIX/XII/MMXXI. tospone, XIX/XII/MMXXI - Present.
