𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝: Police Militia 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝: Police-Milice 𝙂𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣: Polizeimiliz 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: Métropole building 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙚: After the end of the French occupation of Helgau in 1922, the 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖 was an official law enforcement organization formed by the Free State government in a bid to maintain law and order after the French Army's withdrawal from Helgau had consequently thrown the small state into an era of crime and civil unrest. An unprofessional yet largely popular force of volunteers drawn mainly from the German community, the Police Militia was regarded as more popular policing in contrast with the former ducal era 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙈é𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚. With military structure, training, and equipment the Police Militia was also in essence a paramilitary wielded by the German-majority government to provide a counterforce in keeping the unruly and distrusted French-majority 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙨 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘 in check.
