Description
🌿 In the year 1814, as all of Europe was recovering from the upheaval of the Napoleonic Empire, Basel, a peaceful city on the banks of the Rhine, found itself in a moment filled with both tension and hope. The drums of war were fading, yet the echoes of battles—like Leipzig and others—still resonated through the cobbled streets. It was in this atmosphere that the Basel regiment, made up of young men from the surrounding areas—artisans, sons of farmers, and merchants—was mobilized.
