Description
Castellany of the Crackclaw Estate Rank: Celtigar Cadet Branch Overlords: Celtigar Faith: The Old Gods Title: Castellans of the Crackclaw Estate A mainland Celtigar cadet branch that rules from the shadows of the old-growth pine forests & jagged grey cliffs of Crackclaw Point. Appointed as hereditary Castellans of the Crackclaw Estate & its network of satellite keeps, watchtowers, & villages, this branch serves a dual purpose: they are tax-collecting wardens for the Iron Throne's nominal reach, & they are diplomats of necessity to the fiercely independent mountain clans. The mainland estate is designed to blend into the landscape, serving both a strategic military function & a secluded, wooded sanctuary for Celtigar lords seeking respite from courtly politics. While they retain their ancestral Valyrian lineage & reverence for the Valyrian Gods, generations of intermarrying with mainland stock & living alongside the peninsula’s clans led them to adopt the worship of the Old Gods.
