Description
17e Linien Regiment can trace its roots to the Northern Alps, with the Sister Regiments of 17e and 26e. These Regiments fought hard during the Campaigns of Charles V and Charles VI, being lead by Romuald Allais in his Alpine Brigade. Seeing less noticeable records in Italy before the start of the Civil War. Here 17e and 26e would find themselves on opposing sides firing volley after volley into their fellow countrymen in an attempt of getting their pick upon the throne. 26e would nearly be wiped out after a battle against John II's Forces and would not see much combat for the rest of the war, being garrisoned in Basel by the future King.
