𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐘 𝟏𝟗𝟒𝟎𝐬 ★ ༺ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ༻ ☭ ༺ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ━ ༻ ★ Created in 1919, the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army ("PURKKA") was established by the 7th Congress of the RCP, in order to ensure that the blossoming Soviet republic's military couldn't be under-minded by subversive elements. This was accomplished by assigning political commissars to newly established Red Army units.
