A Provisional Government was set up in the new German Republic which had low support from the German Military. During the elections, a man made a party called the German Nationalist Party which sought unity in Germany’s Military and People. The party was unpopular with the provisional government and was banned. The army and he had a military coup in the capital and toppled the government.
