Description

𝐌𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐪𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝘈𝘵𝘥𝘩𝘦𝘶 𝘮𝘣𝘪 𝘵𝘦 𝘨𝘫𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘢! In 1928, President Zogu secured the parliament's approval to its own dissolution. A new constituent assembly amended the constitution making Albania a kingdom and transforming Zogu into Zogu I, "King of the Albanians". International recognition arrived forthwith. King Zogu's main goal during this era is to modernize the kingdom and make it into a European state.
