Description
CX-Δ Mycological Threat Detachment stands as a former DARPA subcontractor forged at the intersection of fungal research, biological containment, and classified defense operations. Its structure combined scientific command, containment teams, and specialized field operators, allowing the unit to secure restricted sites, conduct hazardous recovery work, and support research activity in contaminated or unstable environments. Following the collapse of federal authority, CX-Δ refused integration into FEDRA and continued under its own command structure. Now composed largely of trained operators and select scientific staff, the detachment remains focused on Cordyceps research, threat assessment, sample recovery, and the preservation of classified data.
