Description
The State of Clewiston was established in 1801 near the Appalachian Mountains. In 1861 a raging fire burned through a large swath of the state's land. This caused little to no trees to grow in the area. The remaining trees were cleared, and the forests made into farmland. The rest of the state remains very mountainous and treacherous to navigate
