One of them was the Engineer. Before the Russian Revolution, he was a scientist and explorer. He went with an expedition to the North Pole where he made research that would help in the future populating the counterpart of the North Pole, the Antarctic, with the help of former Russian Aristocrats that had to flee the country after the revolution he build his generators that would heaten parts of the cold continent so that entire cities could be built. The Archivist declared in 1923 the Unitary Republic of Antarctica sometimes also just referred to as the Russian State of Antarctica by the locals. Many countries didn't recognize the new country especially the Soviet Union and other countries that claimed parts of the continent.
