In the First Battle of Copenhagen the Danes were bombarded from British ships destroying most of their fleet. After this battle Denmark withdrew their neutrality. Years later the British had feared the Danish fleet and sent 22 ships to bombard Copenhagen again destroying many ships and resulting in the Second Battle of Copenhagen resulting with the Danes reluctantly allying with France.
