The City of South Orchard Fire Department is an ISO Class 1 career department built for action, not comfort. Protecting 128,000 residents in Maryland and answering more than 60,000 calls a year, we operate at a pace that demands toughness, discipline, and pride in the job. Fire comes first here. Our firefighters train hard, work hard, and expect to perform under pressure at fires, high acuity EMS calls, hazmat incidents, and complex technical rescues. With eight busy firehouses and nonstop call volume, there is no shortage of real world experience. South Orchard is a place for firefighters who want to be aggressive, proactive, and trusted to make the push when it matters.
