Description
𝘼𝙍𝙂𝙄𝙑𝙀 𝙃𝙊𝙋𝙇𝙄𝙏𝙀𝙎 The Hoplitai infantry served as Argos' primary unit. They mostly consisted of heavy hoplitai, armed with large spear, heavy round shields, and were commonly identified with wearing bronze cuirass' or a linothorax. The Hoplitai were considered an elite unit, forming a large mass of the Argive armament. These men were well established combatants with a precocious understanding of the battlefield; heavily trained in the art of warfare, and capable of holding the iconic Greek phalanx formation. Men were handpicked from the Deutoroi in order to draft into the Hoplitai, provided that they deemed themselves worthy.
