Description
𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐎𝐈 "Heavy Skirmishers" Thureophoroi were an elite class of Macedonian infantry designed to augment the phalanx and provide a type of soldier between the phalangite and the peltastai that was able to both skirmish and fight in melee effectively. Recruited off the most vigorous stock of provincials, the Thureophoroi breeds the finest tactical vanguard or reconnaissance unit Greece has ever seen. To be eligible for admission into the Thureophoroi, you must be drafted from a taxeis Asthetairoi. Selections are made through a democratic voting process by the Thureophoroi.
