[GPK] Gwardii Pieszej Koronnej #13849413
Description
The 1st Infantry Regiment was one of the first units created in the Duchy of Warsaw in 1809. The regiment consisted of soldiers who had fought for Napoleon's Grande Armée during his campaigns in Germany, Italy and Spain. They were mainly French, but there were also Poles, Germans and other nationalities. The regiment was initially stationed in Warsaw, the capital of the Duchy, and was responsible for maintaining public order and defending the city. Later, the regiment was sent to fight in various battles, including the Battle of Wagram in 1809 and the Battle of Leipzig in 1813. The 1st Infantry Regiment was considered one of the best units of the Duchy of Warsaw and was distinguished by discipline and bravery. The colors of the regiment were green and white, and the uniform was based on the uniform of the French infantry of the time, with a shako hat, blue coat and white trousers. THIS IS A POLISH SPEAKING REGIMENT
