Description
Formed in 1776, at the beginning of the American Revolution, prior to declaring independence, requested to form one regiment to the Continental Army within the Colonies. The reputation of this regiment became immediately tested in August 1776 and lasted throughout the war where it would take action in the Battle of Princeton, Staten Island, and Long Island
