Herzoglich Bräunschweigisches Korps #13890506
Description
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ During the Napoleonic Wars, Napoleon Boneparte occupied the Principality of Brunswick-Lüneburg and planned for it to be incorporated into the French client state of the Kingdom of Westphalia. In hatred of losing his country, a corps was raised by the duke of Brunswick in 1809 after the war had begun between the French and Austrians. Originally when formed the corps was made up of 2,300 men ranging from infantry, cavalry, and later artillery. The majority of the corps' uniforms were of black colour leading to many nicknames for them. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
