Description
The Kungl Fältartilleriregementet (Royal Field Artillery Regiment) was created in 1630, but its origins traces back earlier. In 1623 an artillery company was made, recruiting in 1630, it was expanded into a full regiment, with regiment's men being recruited from all over Sweden and in all of its provinces. In 1649, the regiment was expanded to include all artillery units of the Swedish Empire, which likely included smaller units with men from Western Pomerania (now known as Swedish Pomerania), Wismar, and Livonia.
