Description
Formed from the 2nd and 3rd Nassau Battalions, this unit was shipped off to fight in the Spanish campaign. The Nassau regiment would quickly distinguish itself in battle, the 1st battalion winning the right to bear the golden medal of bravery on its flag at Medellin, and the 2nd battalion the same honour at D'Jbor. In the following 4 years on campaign, it would make a name for itself against the roaming guerilla bands, vanquishing many. In the year 1813 however, with the political instability at home and at campaign, the future of this legendary regiment is uncertain.
