𝗞𝗘𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗘𝗙𝗗𝗢𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗔𝗡 Mactan, the home to the Filipino Legend of Datu Lapulapu; located off the coast of Cebu, the island chiefdom originally served under the Rajah of the Sultanate of Cebu - it gained fame after disputes arose between the island's inhabitants and the Rajah's newfound overlords, Lapulapu, the island's Datu (or Chief) rose up and refused to bow down to the Spanish Throne and therefore resisted, resulting in the famous Battle of Mactan, in which Lapulapu managed to defeat the European Conquistadors with his massive band of native warriors.
