Description
El Cartel de Medellín es una organización criminal colombiana que se dedica al terrorismo, entre otras actividades, siendo uno de los principales actores del conflicto armado colombiano en las décadas de 1980 y 1993. Se enfrasca en una cruenta lucha contra el Estado y sus instituciones principalmente en los centros urbanos, al mismo tiempo que mantiene guerras paralelas con otras asociaciones delictivas, como el Cartel de Cali y los grupos paramilitares del Magdalena Medio. Se convirtió en un grupo terrorista reconocido por practicar secuestros y asesinatos ya sea selectivos o indiscriminados.
