Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (SFOD-B 3220) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Hard Target Defeat Companies are JSOC-funded company-sized elements specialized in direct-action operations and defeating hard targets. Initially, they were known as the Combatant-Commanders/CinCs In-Extremis Force (CIF) Companies, which would later be rebranded as the Crisis Response Force (CRF) Companies which consisted of senior Special Forces members who were trained in direct action, counter-terror, special reconnaissance, military freefall, and hostage rescue. Their purpose was to be able to quickly react to crises that can potentially arise all over the world, such as an attack on a US Embassy. These units played key roles in the Iraq War, training Iraqi SOF units as well as assisting 1st SFOD-D in neutralizing high value targets as a unilateral strike force.
