Mount Costa, San Merino County #14141466
Description
Mount Costa is a city in Santa Rosito County located in the Greater Bay Region, 5 miles west of Los Merinos which is the technology hub of the entire west coast. Established in 1862 from two ranches owned by the Costa and Marijo familes and a mission church, the city has grown to a population of 82,376 people with a daytime travelling population of 130,542 people due to the Interstate 101 highway running through the city. The city experienced a population boom in the 1950's due to the migration of several workers looking for warehouse jobs at the Westpoint Harbor 8 miles to the North which led the city from a quiet farming town to a residential sprawl. Mount Costa is home to several of the world's largest technology companies including those of Gogglez and Pear and due to the technology boom, the city is considered to have a high household income with it's residents making a median of 300,000$ per year and is ranked the 14th richest community in the entire state.
