The U.S Navy was created on October 13, 1775. Its first ever ship was the USS Ganges which first set sail on May 24, 1798. Later in Vietnam they created the U.S Navy SEALs who they established on January 1, 1962. Their first ever admiral was David Glasgow Farragut. He served 59 years in service to our country and died in 1870. The U.S Navy’s first use was in April of 1798. The first ever battle the U.S Navy fought in was during 1798-1801. The Battle of Leyte Gulf was the largest battle ever fought that included the U.S Navy. The largest invasion the U.S Navy fought in was D-Day in Normandy, France in the year 1944 through 1945 that included 6,939 U.S Navy vessels. Out of 3,517 people who have received the Medal of Honor 15 of them were navy. Remember “Non Sibi Sed Patriae” (not self but country) *U.S Navy motto*. HOOYAH!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
