Founded in July 1901 The Pierce County Fire Department was established in 1901 and is now considered a full-time and fully paid department. The Fire Department started off with a group of citizens who were responsible for extinguishing fires in the Mountain Hill Region of Roosevelt in 1893. When the Region grew, the department grew with it. The Pierce County Fire Department is a Fire and Rescue Service. It offers both Fire and Medical services to Pierce County.
