Description
The Imperial Navy's purpose was to maintain full dominion over known space in the name of the Empire while also imposing the Emperor's will. It was founded after Chancellor Sheev Palpatine converted the Galactic Republic into an authoritarian Empire following the Clone Wars. The Imperial Navy was entrusted with keeping order in the galaxy and putting down signs of rebellion, and consisted mostly of Imperial Star Destroyers and a wide range of TIE series variants.
