Description
Novatroopers, sometimes known as Nova-class Stormtroopers, were stormtrooper honor guards assigned to historical sites like Emperor Palpatine's birthworld of Naboo and captured enemy starships. Novatroopers were slightly better trained than stormtroopers on average, but they were similarly equipped. Novatroopers were identifiable by their black and gold colored enhanced stormtrooper armor, however there were several different Novatrooper versions. Novatrooper Medics wore black and red armor, while other Novatroopers, who also served as shadow stormtroopers, wore complete black armor. Although Novatroopers were occasionally deployed to patrol for Rebel Alliance activity and were involved in a number of invasions, they were rarely seen outside of Imperial celebrations.
