𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱: Field Marshal: vr_yheid General Staff: 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀: I. South African Infantry Division 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The South African Army, being the backbone of the UDF was the main branch of the South African military. It consisted of great men and women who served under the name of South Africa. In World War II the division was responsible for a great string of victories in North Africa and they were known to be great marksmen, and they were also known to be incredibly brave in battle. The South African Army didn’t only serve in North Africa, as they also served in Europe where they fought bravely in Italy and France which earned them international recondition for their valiant efforts.
