Infantry Division, the "Steyr Division", is one of the most prestigious formations within the Royal Alpenraumischer Army. The formation, despite being standardized and resized in the post-unification reforms of 1921, retains much of its alpine traditions that are founded in merit, drill, and local flavour. Interestingly, the division was one of the first pre-unification military units to swear allegiance to the Koppenhausen dynasty during the chaotic collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and for that has largely been unhassled by the inspectorate or by royal affairs.
