Description
The Qing Empire, officially the Great Qing, was the 13th and final imperial dynasty of China, establishing itself in Northeast China with Nurhaci, whom united the tribes around the Amur River Basin. After the Ming Dynasty succumbed to rebellion and the loss of it's final emperor, Nurhaci's son Hong Taiji swept across the short-lived Shun Dynasty, and conquered all of China by 1647. Under the talented leadership of the Shunzhen, Kxangxi and Qianlong Emperors, the Qing Empire grew to new heights, conquering the Mongols, Xinjiang, subjugated Tibet, and drove off Russian incursions from the Stanovoy Range to the north. By the death of the Qianlong Emperor in 1799, the Qing Empire is still powerful, but greater evils lay on the horizon, and by the time Napoleon is finished, the Western Powers are destined to project their influence into Asia... _______ Emperor: Wollockstein Time Period: Napoleonic Communities: N/A
