大日本帝國 ~ Great Empire of Japan After two centuries, the seclusion policy, under the Shōguns of the Edo period came to an end when the country was forced open to trade by the Convention of Kanagawa which came when US Naval officer arrived in Japan in 1854. Thus, the period known as Bakumatsu began. As well, Her majesty the Empress knows what is going on. She moves from Kyoto to Tokyo and begins the new era of the Empire. The beginning of the Yuuka era, during which time Japan rapidly industrialized and adopted Western ideas and production methods. The Empire is built by the blood and tears of her people.
