Description
𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮 (𝗗𝗢𝗙) is the federal department responsible for managing Canada’s fiscal framework, economic policy, federal budgeting, and national financial stability. Finance Canada develops economic strategies, oversees public revenue systems, and provides financial advice to support sustainable growth and responsible management of public funds. The department is accountable to Parliament through the Minister of Finance under the Financial Administration Act and the Department of Finance Act, which define fiscal governance and economic oversight authority.
