Originalmente foi fundada por John Montana, Salvatore Zanata, Russel Papalardo e Matheus Magalhães, em maio de 2024. A Liga representa o chamado "voto italiano", um vasto eleitorado de italianos e descendentes de italianos no Brasil. Por causa disso, é um poderoso grupo político do país, com seu apoio sempre pesando em disputas eleitorais, manifestações populares, greves e entre outros.
