Seleukos I took it upon himself to prove himself the greatest of Alexander's claimants and managed to create the greatest of the shattered kingdoms, the Seleukid Empire stretching from the Levant and Southern Anatolia to Mauryan India. ₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪ It is, 212 BC the Empire is at its zenith. Before the Roman Republic began its ascent to power, the Seleukid Empire was undoubtably the most powerful and influential Kingdom in the Mediterranean, if not the world. With total control of Alexander's Royal Road, also known as the Silk Road, Seleukid wealth was boundless. ₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪ "Greeks can rule the world. Alexander did it."
