Welcome to Bucks County, Pennsylvania! Bucks county is a rural/suburban country located outside of Philadelphia. It forms the south-east tip of the state's border with New Jersey. The county is full of history from pre-US times and is the site of many historical events and locations such as George Washington and his troops crossing of the Delaware River! Bucks has some of the oldest covered bridges in the United States, and the county is the home of Tyler State Park. Rita's Italian Water Ice, was established here and has it's still headquarters within Bucks County! Incorporated by WIlliam Pen. in 1752, Bucks was one of the three original counties of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
