It was a land of the Cossacks, the land of the Ukrainians. From the dawn of Rus, uniting the Slavs, to the invasions of Polish and Mongol hordes crashing over the steppe, Ukraine stood defiant. Through centuries, we resisted Poland, Russia, and the Turks standing as the gateway to Asia, a crossroads for armies and empires. In 1918, Ukraine was reborn, seizing its independence. Yet it became a battleground for power, with the Cossack State of Skoropadskyi against the German-backed Vasyl. Russia growing larger, rebellions rising, and struggles unfolding. We must raise our swords and drive the invaders!
