Description
The Merdian Armed Forces (MAF) stand as guard protecting the island of Thasos. The forces are incharge of protecting Merdias soverignty and security. Established in 1899, the Merdian Armed Forces consists of 150-ish personnel, split into six light infantry platoons, some being specialised. Merdian Waters (and skies) are protected by the Hellenic Republic, as well as Nato. Otherwise, Merdian Waters are also guarded by naval assets of the Merdian-Gendarme. Since 2017
