Description
The most noble house of Manners are the blood owners of the Duchy of Rutland. Amidst the reign of Edward III in the 14th century, the Manners family have direct roots to King Edward III. The family can be traced back to as early as 1390, when the Barony of Rutland was created for Edward of Norwich, by his father, Edmund of Norwhiches, 1st Duke of Yorks. The Barony was later on abolished in 1435, but created once more a further two times.
