Description
NPR Founded 2021 Founded in May, 2021 as the Cayman Islands's premier news service, the Cayman Press Agency was regarded to most Caymanians as the only news service to provide updates constantly and regularly unlike competitor providers. After the resignation of Editor-in-Chief YaltaConference, the CPA was quickly closed with the last news update going out the first of August, 2021; most staff left the service during this time, with a few interests in acquiring the news service by multiple parties. The CPA had a brief return during December of the same year, but returned to inactivity soon after. The Cayman Press Agency opened it's doors again in 2022 as Cayman Public Radio, after 2 months of success was then rebranded finally as National Public Radio to operate in multiple countries.
