Promotion and firing: The main way to get promoted is by constantly being better than the average people of your rank. However it is not the only way. And the main way you can get fired or demoted is by constantly being worse than the average person in your rank. This won’t usually end up as being fired but you can get fired for stuff outside of here. Ranks (so far:) Trainee, ok researcher, researcher, good researcher, leader.
