High Kingship of Ireland #14886275
Description
High Kingdom of Ireland _________________________________________________________________________________________ The High Kingship of Ireland was an ancient political entity that existed in Ireland during the early medieval period, roughly from the 8th to the 12th century AD. At its height, it was characterized by a system of regional kingships and a High King who held a position of nominal authority over the other kings. The High King was often chosen from among the most powerful regional kings and ruled from a ceremonial capital. However, the authority of the High King was frequently challenged by rival kings, leading to periods of instability and conflict. The High Kingdom of Ireland played a significant role in shaping Irish history and culture, particularly through its interactions with neighboring kingdoms and the spread of Christianity _________________________________________________________________________________________ Group Founded: May 19, 2022 Server Code: CMYU75yMSB
