Description

Mobile Task Force Omega-1 (Ω-1) was formed by the Ethics Committee in 1925 to serve as the EC's personal task force for protection and to apprehend violators of the Foundation's Ethics Charter by force if necessary. They are equipped with some of the best weaponry the Foundation has, being outclassed only by MTF Tau-5. However, Ω-1 has a secondary purpose that their "superiors" are not aware of. Ω-1 also serves as the O5 Council's Black Operations Task Force, working alongside similar groups such as Alpha-1's detachment Zero. Where Ω-1 differs from groups like Detachment Zero or the ISD Phantom Squadron, is its true purpose as the O5 Council's contingency plan in the event that the Ethics Committee's leadership attempt to usurp the Council for whatever reason. If such an event were to occur, Ω-1 could easily and quickly destroy the entire Ethics Committee's High Board due to their perception that Ω-1 is the Ethics Committee's personal task force.
