Following the conquest of North America, the country faced a crippled economy and widespread protests, prompting the Autarch of America to establish the Prometheus Initiative. The research project aimed to restore stability by developing futuristic technology and implementing surveillance measures, such as identification cards and street cameras. Major cities like New York and San Francisco became experimental grounds for testing these advancements and suffered horrendously.
