Description
Spring Lake is a roleplay game set within a vast, open-sourced national park in Ontario, Canada. At its heart lies a lakeside camp that has only recently reopened to the public after decades of abandonment. The park is steeped in folklore. Some tales are harmless legends, others far more unsettling; and many of them are tied directly to the camp’s long and complicated history. Originally established in 1866, the camp operated for over a century before finally closing its gates in 1998 due to budget cuts and declining public interest. For years, the land sat untouched, allowing rumors, myths, and unanswered questions to grow unchecked. In 2001, officials approved the camp’s reopening as part of a broader initiative to encourage younger generations to reconnect with society, nature, and one another; away from constant screens and isolation.
