Description
To the veterans of the 51st - Thank you for your unwavering dedication, devotion, and camaraderie. It's been a ride. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐶𝑒𝑑𝑒 𝑁𝑢𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑠. Yield to none. Raised originally in Exeter before moving to Yorkshire the regiment saw active participation in the Seven Years War successfully. The 51st later saw action in the Peninsular war at the Battle of Corruna and several sieges and other battles. It can be noted that the 51st stopped 100 French cavalrymen escaping the field at Waterloo by point of volley. 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐩 85
