Description
The 96th Military Police Battalion, nicknamed "The Visors" by figureheads of the hippy movement during the 1960's due to their heavy involvement in the suppression of dissident activity within Arkansas through the use of heavy-handed riot control tactics which was the subject of multiple scandals under the units eventual re-organization following an investigation by the Inspector General. In its modern incarnation, the 96th has led the spearhead of the response to the humanitarian crisis but has come under scrutiny for its "shoot to kill" policies and extensive use of gas munitions.
