In response, the Emperor formed the "Mongol Eight Banners" and "Chinese Martial Banners", two hereditary groups of bannermen who operated similarly and in conjunction with the Banners made up of Manchus. After the unification of China under the Qing, men in the Chinese Martial Banners served specialist roles, and were either adopted as Manchus or were forced out with their status revoked. β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬πβ¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬β¬
