The Navy Command Headquarters is headed by the Commander of the Navy, who has the authority to conduct all of the affairs of the Department. The Navy Command Headquarters was established by The Ministry of National Defense Organization Law on May 6, 1946, to provide a government organizational structure for the Republic of China Navy and the Republic of China Marine Corps.
