ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠLEGIO III CYRENAICA ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ ᅠ"THE THIRD LEGION" Legio III Cyrenaica, the Third Legion of the Imperial Army, was founded by Augustus in 27BC upon the creation of his new, standardised Army. It played a key role in Augustus' ascension, solidifying his control over Egypt and securing territories at the borders of his new Empire. The Third Legion bore the sigil of the Lion. Cyrenaica earnt the honor of bearing such a formidable animal on their standard by overpowering their many adversaries through fierce assaults and hunting enemy commanders to destroy morale. Due to their deployment in distant lands, often cut off from reinforcements and supply lines, the Third Legion was renowned for its self-sufficiency and ability to utilise guerrilla and ambushing tactics. Those few who foolishly did not fear the Eagle would fatefully learn to fear the Lion.
